Each Traditions community has a unique local design and personality. But we do share best practices and open our doors to welcome new residents if a nearby Traditions community has no vacancies.
Here are some of the most common questions we hear when future residents and their loved ones find there are currently no homes available in their community of choice:
What happens if an Intendent Living apartment is not available when I’m/my loved one is ready to move in? We will check the vacancy at a nearby Traditions community and welcome you or loved one there if this meets your needs.
But what if I want to be in the community that was my first choice? We understand, and we'll gladly welcome you to our sister community until a vacancy opens at your Traditions community of choice.
Wouldn't it be difficult to move again? We will make it as smooth and seamless as possible. Traditions will handle the move for you, using one of our certified moving companies at no cost to you. During the move, you are welcome to spend the day in the common areas of your new community enjoying a meal, participating in an activity or in a private room where you can rest while your belongings are moved in for you.
Will you help me get settled? Absolutely. We will ensure the movers place everything in the correct area and leave everything else in your capable hands.
Will it be tough for me to get to know new staff members and residents? We will do everything in our power to give you a warm welcome, including introducing all of our staff members, encouraging visits from our residents, inviting you to social events and more. Your family and friends are always welcome here and we hope to become part of that group.
Who should I talk to to make this happen? The Community Relations Director and Executive Director at your Traditions community of choice will assist you in checking with nearby communities and getting you in touch with them.
